Mediterraneo Marine Park is located on the outskirts of the city of Bahar ic-Caghaq and is home to dolphins, turtles, parrots, sea lions and a few other animal species.

In the shows tricks with the animals are shown. The parrots show their skills and intelligence and fly directly over the heads of their audience. We do not recommend to take a seat in the first row or right next to the central corridor, you have a wonderful view of the birds there, but they probably drop „something“ more often because of their nervousness.

The dolphin show was very entertaining and the keepers were very respectful in their handling of the dolphins. Some tricks are shown and a lot of knowledge about the dolphins is imparted. In addition, the spectators are encouraged to protect the oceans and to dispose of garbage properly.

As there is no possibility to see the aquatic animals outside show times, it is advisable to inform yourself about them before the visit. How often these shows take place depends on the season.

After the demonstrations, visitors can take photos of the dolphins, sea lions, parrots or reptiles.

The main attraction in this park is the dolphin swimming with the bottlenose dolphins, which must be booked at least three days in advance and costs at minimum 125 € per person (depending on season). This ticket includes the entrance to the park and all shows. You can read details about the process in our adventure.

Photos are taken during the dolphin swim and the wish can be expressed that the visit should be filmed (price 30 € per person). The video has to be paid for immediately and after a few weeks you will receive an email with the link to download the video.

The photos can be purchased at the photo shop, although we believe that the pricing is very non-transparent. The pictures are only available printed on A4 photo paper, a digital version is not available.

Besides swimming with the dolphins, you can also book an interaction with the dolphins, sea lions and/or parrots. During these interactions, photos are also taken, which can be purchased at the photo shop afterwards.

Parking spaces are sufficiently available, free of charge and are shared with the adjacent water park. In the park itself there are toilets, seating and snack stands.

Conclusion:
The dolphin swim was a unique experience, whether it is worth this price, everybody has to decide for himself. The dolphin pool was clean, but certainly not big enough for such a wonderful creature, which actually belongs in freedom. The reptile enclosures shocked us the most as they were extremely small. We also find it a pity that such an inscrutable business is being done with the photos. The park itself seems unlovingly designed and somewhat extinct and we would not recommend it.
